Terms

Last updated 2026-09-24.

By using hookdetector.com, the API at api.hookdetector.com or the MCP server, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Your account and key

An account is an API key. Anyone holding the key can use the account, so keep it private, give each agent its own key and revoke one you no longer trust. We cannot recover a key you lose, and we cannot tell who used a key.

Credits

A new account gets free credits. One credit is one call we make to our data provider. A run reserves credits before it starts and charges only what it used; a failed run charges nothing. Credits have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and are not refunded when an account is deleted. We may change how many free credits a new account gets.

Fair use

• Do not create accounts in bulk to collect free credits.
• Do not try to reach another account's data, get around rate limits, or overload the service.
• Do not use Hook Detector to harass a creator or to break the law.

We may suspend or delete an account that does these things.

The clips belong to their creators

Every hook is a quote from a real public post, and the post belongs to the person who made it. We show clips only through TikTok's and Instagram's official players and embeds, and every card links to the original post and its creator. A hook is there to show you what worked. Reposting someone's video, or passing their words off as your own, is on you and may break their rights and the platform's rules.

What we promise and what we do not

We report what we find as it is: the opening line verbatim, the view count the platform showed, and no hook invented where a clip had no words. We do not promise that a hook will work for you, that a topic has enough clips, or that the service will always be available. Hook Detector is provided as it is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows, Awzor Media LLC is not liable for indirect losses or for more than you paid us, which today is nothing.

Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your account yourself, as the privacy page explains. We may change or end the service; if we change these terms, the date at the top changes with them.

Hook Detector is run by Awzor Media LLC. For questions about these terms, and to have your data removed without your key, email contact@hookdetector.com; you can always delete your account yourself from your account page.
