Computed from videos in the index with a packaging read and a measured multiple, long and Shorts alike: 139 in the first run and 174 in the second, each run a sample of different channels. The index holds the videos our users' searches found, so its medians sit above YouTube's as a whole. Each finding is counted twice, on two samples of different channels. Counted Oct 27, 2026.

Overlap: the share of the thumbnail text’s words (small words like the, and, of left out) that are also in the title. A thumbnail with no words is its own group, never counted as no overlap. Lift: the median multiple of the “most” group over the “none” group. Each side needs at least 15 videos in a run.
